Are you fed up with mobile phone companies like Orange?
Many of us each day have to face the nightmare of contacting mobile phone companies to resolve issues with our accounts. It could be a faulty phone or sim card, money wrongly taken from your bank, incorrect charges, lack of service or even poor service provision.
Often you will be able to resolve your problem with a phone call ( more commonly a series of phone calls ). Sometimes it may require a written letter to fully explain your problems and only this will enable the company to find a resolution.
What do you do if phone calls or letters don’t resolve your problem?
If you are unhappy with a service or product and initial phone calls or letters don’t resolve the situation to your satisfaction - where do you go from there?
- You can dispute your bill in relation to the product or service until all problems are sorted
- Put it in writing, laying out all the facts in clear simple wording
- Send all corresponce via recorded delivery
- Keep copies of EVERYTHING
- Log any phone calls received or made ( if possible )
- Get peoples names and their departments/responsibilities
- Complain to the telecoms regulator ( OFCOM )
- ONLY USE COURT ACTION AS A LAST RESORT
I took Orange Telecommunications to court twice and won!
I have successfully taken Orange to court twice and won against them both times. Once for a breach of their own airtime contract Terms and Conditions and Code of Conduct plus the Sale of Goods Act, the second time for Breach of a Court Order and Breach of the Protection from Harassment Act 1997
In my experience Orange appear to act in an inappropriate manner in relation to their general business and treatment of their customers. I have no reason to believe that they would change their business practices in any way and consequently, they are probably leaving themselves open to litigation in many cases!
What we aim to offer and hope to achieve.
The idea behind www.actionorange.co.uk is to tell my story and hopefully empower other people to know their rights, and fight for them when dealing with Orange Telecommunications or any mobile phone company. I will detail my experiences with Orange through the courts and the cases I have brought against Orange and won.
It is my genuine hope that someone at Orange will visit this website and take note of what has happened to me. I’m hoping that this will action a full and complete review of the current business practices and lead to better staff training, a more complete understanding of current law, guidelines and regulations for all staff ( especially within the legal department! ) and enable Orange to develop a better policy framework for dealing with the public at all levels.
I have been the unfortunate victim of Orange’s systemic failure from day one and can only hope that no-one else suffers the harassment and poor customer service I’ve been subjected to.
LEGAL ACTION SHOULD ONLY BE TAKEN AS A LAST RESORT IF YOU CAN NOT AMICABLY RESOLVE YOUR PROBLEMS OR YOU COME TO AN IMPASS
Haven’t got time to fight your own corner?
We will also be offering an actioning service in the future, whereby people with good documentation, genuine cases of ” breaches of contracts ” and breaching/breaking of relevant laws ( Protection from Harassment ), guidelines and regulations that don’t have the time to initiate proceedings against Orange or any other mobile phone company, can instruct us to do so on a no win no fee basis.
The cost of instructing a solicitor to pursue any case like this is prohibitive with average charges ranging from £100 - £200 per hour. We will review your case for free and advise you of the possible action that could be taken on your behalf and whether we feel you have a good case for litigation.
Please feel free to contact us directly with your enquiry.
